Things to Do
SEAFRONT - The seafront, which runs parallel to the beach, offers many things to do as well including lots of nice places to eat and drink (fish & chips - yummy!). You can play crazy golf, buy a bucket / spade / inflatable / kite and try amazingly flavoursome vast range of icecreams (including vegan) from the award winning PJ's Ice Cream Parlour (just off to the left facing away from pier). Or you can just rent a deck chair and relax whilst enjoying the view across the glittering water - on a really clear day you can see Wales! On a windy day you can head to the other end of the beach with a kite to fly it - or you can park on the beach and watch other people flying kites and see windsurfers making unbelievable acrobatic moves on the waves.
PIER - The famous pier, which is lovely to walk about on, has a whole host of marvellous attractions (fun / exciting amusements and regular events) and places to eat including a fantastically decorated ice cream parlour - visit their website to see what's on and more information. www.grandpier.co.uk
BEACH - The long stretch of golden sandy beach at Weston is a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike. There are many things to keep you entertained no matter your age such as donkey rides, amusement arcades, seasonal fireworks, annual events (Beach race, steam fair, sand sculpture exhibition to name a few - please follow us on facebook or twitter (links at the end of this page) as we will be posting about local events and things to do) and shopping...
You will also find lots of great shops including the Sovereign shopping centre which looks out over the seafront, but also has other entrances / exits onto the high street and the Italian Gardens. The Italian Gardens are a communal green space where you can sit and watch the world go by - it hosts many events including flower shows, class car shows, fun days and other seasonal events.
